Whatever Works: Woody has lost the ability to elicit even slightly naturalistic performances from his actors--who chain themselves to reproducing a mediocre script.
The performances were a little stiff, and the moral at the finale was forced, no doubt, but I have a hard time neglecting the fact that this movie was very often funny.
